Join Robby and his 27-piece orchestra for what promises to be a powerful and captivating evening of big band nostalgia. You will be treated to some of the country’s most renowned musicians from the Glen Miller Orchestra, The Rat Pack and a full string section. In addition, Robby will be joined on stage by a trio of the finest backing singers, The Bandettes from the sensational cinematic experience, Pure Vintage.
Robby, born in Kirkby, Liverpool lost his sight at an early age. However, his love of music and his passion for performing drove him to become the only blind, big band leader in the world. He emulates the music of the 20th century’s most iconic vocalists and features a sparkling selection of big band classics including Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Michael Bublé and Elvis Presley. Robby is widely regarded as one of the finest big band singers in the UK, building an enviable wealth of experience, performing with the UK Forces and large-scale venues such as Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
We are thrilled to introduce our special guest Ceri Smith! Ceri is the principal lead vocalist for the Pure Vintage experience and often performs with Robby Toner and the Troubadours. She emulates the great vintage sound of Dinah Washington, Etta James and Doris Day. Ceri’s rendition of Adele’s Skyfall will leave you breathless!
