St George’s Hall Charitable Trust is an independent board of dedicated members committed to protecting, preserving, and enhancing this Grade I listed building. The Trust not only supports the Hall’s conservation but also its modernisation, ensuring its relevance for future generations.

The Trustees dedicate their time to a range of active campaigns, including the design and implementation of heritage education programs. Notable initiatives include ‘It’s Not Just a Pipe Dream‘, which focuses on restoring the Organ Willis and addressing essential maintenance needs, alongside fundraising efforts for the ongoing restoration of the Minton Tile floor. Past events have featured renowned speakers such as David Olusoga, Lucy Worsley, and Michael Heseltine, helping to raise awareness and support for these important causes. In 2012, the first statue of a woman, Kitty Wilkinson – Liverpool’s “Saint of the Slums” – was unveiled, joining 12 marble statues in the Great Hall depicting Victorian and Edwardian men. Several niches in the Hall have remained empty since 1911, and the Trust is now on a mission to install a statue of the health pioneer, Mary Seacole (1805–1881), in one of these spaces.

Through these efforts, the Trust is committed to keeping St George’s Hall a vital part of Liverpool’s cultural and historical landscape.

A donation to St George’s Hall Charitable Trust supports the conservation and restoration of the Hall, creating more memorable moments for visitors and residents of Liverpool. You can become part of the story by donating to the Trust via Just Giving.
