Young Everyman Playhouse present 'Alice in Wonderland' at Croxteth Hall

Friday 25th, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July

After the success of last year’s production of The Wind in the Willows, YEP will again be performing on the rolling green lawns of Croxteth Hall and Country Park. This time it’s a modern twist on Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland.

Croxteth Hall Garden Society Flower Show

This is a new one day traditional Flower Show organised by the Croxteth Hall Garden Society. There are 50 classes - something for everyone to enjoy, from Cut Flowers, Fruit, Vegetables, Pot Plants, Floral Art, Preserves and Home Baking, Photography and Poetry. Come along and see lots of home grown produce and artistic talent, displayed in the Library Suite inside Croxteth Hall.

This stunning tour, led by the timeless glow of a lamplight, will take you through the eerie corridors of time where you will encounter characters from the past. The gentleman, who does not reveal his true identity, does not see Patrick. Instead he remains invisible, as in life. Both worlds can never collide. The gentleman is gallant and playful in nature. He becomes mesmerised when the figure of a beautiful lady appears by the staircase. Who is this lady?

This show chronicles the lives of people who lived through the war that was meant to end all all wars. Our show follows several characters, amalgamated into Captain Tom and his wife Mabel. It details the heartache and struggles of war. Our characters take the audience on a journey through what it was like on the front line, and to support them from back home. Using songs, audience participation and great storytelling this show is a delight to audiences both great and small.

It is a cold night in 1831, there is something chilling in the atmosphere and visibility is weak due to the fog lying heavy on the ground of the courtyard. A gentleman from the house is eagerly waiting for his guests to arrive. He is looking forward to his audience and preparing himself for their arrival. Unbeknown to him, the news of guests visiting the hall has unleashed other lost and lonely souls from the past who lurk in the shadows waiting to reveal their stories.
